Your shopping is carefully picked and packed by our dedicated team of pickers on the day of your delivery.

Your meat and frozen order is kept cool in transit because we use a isothermal insulated foil bags which is packed in double wall cardboard box, and your chilled and frozen products is packed along with specially designed ice packs.

The insulated cardboard box is leak-proof and sturdy. It keeps the inside cool. Our ice packs are made with a water-based gel, which is frozen and packed with the meat and frozen products. This will keep the produce at the correct temperature for up to 48 hours. When the ice does melt, it stays as a gel, which prevents the delivery becoming wet.

efoodsdirect deliveries are made by its courier partners (up to 2 working days).

We will deliver our products in specially designed cardboard boxes to anywhere in the mainland UK. The selected courier collects the completed orders from efoodsdirect depot and delivers them directly to your door. Customers can give additional delivery instructions for their order online at the time of purchase. Deliveries are attempted at least once on the day of delivery. The selected courier may deliver the package to a neighbouring house either two doors up or down from the delivery address. Full instructions for collection are posted on the instruction card at the delivery address. If it is not possible to deliver the package on the day of delivery the courier company will return the package to the local depot and attempt to deliver on the next working day. Thereafter parcels must be collected from the local delivery depot. If not collected parcels are returned to efoodsdirect depot. In the case for DPD the parcels are attempted on day 1 and if delivery fails, delivery will be attempted the next day.

Whether you would like us to deliver to a neighbour, or cut your meat a specific way, we can accommodate most requirements, just ask! We prepare all meat and fish to order, so if there’s something unusual you would like, our skilled fishmongers and butchers can help. Simply add a note in the check out process. We can also vacuum pack your order in whatever quantities you would like, so if you are ordering for a group of people, we can split quantities so you can store in your own refrigerators.

Storage of your Fresh Meat and Fish Products

You have purchased a fresh product, which must be kept refrigerated ideally at a temperature of 5°C or below.

If you choose to freeze your fresh product, please freeze on the day of delivery. In order to maintain the product quality when freezing please make sure the product is kept in the original packaging. It is advisable to label the products with the date the product is placed in the freezer. After freezing, the product should be consumed within three months to ensure quality. Please completely defrost thoroughly before cooking. Do not refreeze the product after it’s been defrosted.

We try to make our website as user friendly as possible. Everything is arranged by category, as it would be in the store. For example, all frozen products are listed together, and all fresh products are listed together etc.

By selecting ‘Groceries’ on desktop or the ‘Menu’ on mobile, you will be provided with a dropdown of key categories for you to browse.

Alternatively, you can enter the name of the product you are looking for in the search bar at the top of the page. On mobile, you can find the search bar by clicking on the magnifying glass icon (top right).

You can amend your order at any point while shopping, simply by selecting the shopping basket icon (top right). Here you can manage your shopping basket, amend item quantities or remove an item you no longer wish to purchase.

You can change your delivery time or date at any time up until 12pm the day before your order is due to be delivered.

To do this, log in to efoodsdirect online, visit ‘My Account’ and select ‘Order history’. Your current order will be highlighted at the top of the page and you will need to select ‘Change’.

You will then be taken to the basket page where you can ‘Change your delivery time’. Once you have chosen your new delivery time and/or date, you will need to confirm the update by proceeding to checkout and selecting ‘Place order’.

If you have out of stock items, you will receive a refund for the items after your delivery.

Please note that it can take up to 5 working days for some banks to process refunds, however many appear immediately.

If your order is incorrect or damaged, please call or email us and we’ll do our best to rectify any problems as quickly as possible.

Wrongly Supplied Products

Please inform us within 48 hours from the date of the goods received, if any items incorrectly supplied. We will then arrange collection and either provide a refund to the same payment card as used to place the order or send replacement correct items as soon as we receive the goods.

Defective or Damaged Products

If the products received are thought to be defective or damaged in some way, the products may have to be returned to efoodsdirect. If this is the case, this must be before the ‘Use By’ date of the products. If the goods are found to be faulty or defective, we will offer a replacement or a full refund and in either case we will refund your postage cost.

Right To Cancel

Your right to cancel starts at the time of placing the order, as all of our products are food and therefore perishable, your right to cancel ceases at the point of dispatch.

Guarantee of Quality.

If you are not completely satisfied with any products you receive from efoodsdrect, please tell us and we will credit your account with the value of the products.

If you purchase your products online, you are entitled to change your mind about your order and return it to us. However, there are some important exceptions to this.

We don’t accept returns on perishable food items or items which cannot be re-sold for health reasons once unwrapped.
